What are you working on right now?
Where do I begin? I just retired in August, so the gift of open-ended time in the studio has been exhilarating. I have several series in progress all at once, including a series of drawings about the immense, sensuously vined trees on Ahuza Street in Ra’anana, more drawings and paintings of lake, cloud, and water’s edge. And more panoramas are unfolding.
What would you like to say about Manufacturers Village Artist Community?
I came to MV Studios in December of last year, knowing it was the exact right move for me. I came to work among artists I’ve respected and admired for years, some of whom I count as friends, and share the intensity and the hum of serious artists at play. I love my studio, but it’s the people who make this the energizing, nourishing place that it is.
What's next for you?
Drawing, and more drawing. Painting again, and returning to portrait: a welcome surprise.
I am in touch with a couple of places about projects in 2021, but nothing is pinned down just yet. That’s all I’ll say right now. Meanwhile, I’m starting to work larger. Over the coming months, my website will share any new news.
