Gail Winbury

Winbury has shown both in the United States and internationally. Winbury had an artist residency at: The School of Visual Arts, Manhattan, NY, Edgewood Farms, Castle Hill, Truro Mass and a fellowship with the Bau Foundation, Otranto, Italy. She received an artist grant for Arad, Israel from the Jewish Federation. She currently is the artist in residence at The Co-Co in Summit, NJ. Winbury studied for 15 years with artist Dorothy Yung, and at the School of Visual Arts, Manhattan, NY. She has a BS from the University of Massachusetts, and a Psy.D. from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
Winbury’s oil paintings, collages and books represent the geography of the emotional and psychological world. Her prior work explores; gender, mortality, and childhood memory. She merges nearly 20 years as an artist seamlessly with her 30 years as a psychologist. Her art is owned in private collections in; the States, Italy, Germany, London, UK and in public collections in Copolozus Museum, Athens, Greece and Atlantic Healthcare Commission, NJ .
